HUNT:  Mule Deer  -  Antelope  -  Elk  -  Turkey  -  Waterfowl  -  Upland Birds  -  Varmints

New Mexico Mule Deer Hunting

Since management is a priority, Canadian River Outfitters will accept only a limited number of mule deer hunters in a given season. Mule deer hunters have been coming here for over 20 years. The arroyos leading to the Reuvelto River, along with mesquite cover and farm field forage, make the perfect combination for trophy New Mexico mule deer habitat. Outfitter/rancher, Tom Bruhn knows every inch of this property, and watches how the deer move all year long. He will be able to tell you what kind of deer he has been seeing, so you will know what to expect. This hunt is primarily spot and stalk. Do not be surprised to find a nice 250lb New Mexico monster buck in your sites.

While those hunters that prefer the challenge of spot and stalk will not be disappointed, we do have a couple hunting locations on our property for those who may not be up to that kind of physical challenge.

You will want to book your New Mexico mule deer hunt early. Canadian River Outfitters have opened our hunts for the 2014 season, and have been receiving deposits!

New Mexico Elk Hunting

New Mexico, the “Land of Enchantment” offers world renowned elk hunting. Unit 50 near Taos, New Mexico provides Canadian River Outfitters with an opportunity to offer our clients guaranteed landowner tags, but the ability to hunt unit wide.

Canadian River Outfitters has a firm belief that the best guides are those who live and hunt the area. We have a team of guides that have grown up elk hunting either rifle or bow in the mountains of northern New Mexico. Our guides have years of experience elk hunting and guiding unit 50, which offers bulls in the 320 class on a consistent basis.  If it is the 400+ trophy that you are craving, we have a fabulous ranch only elk hunting opportunity.  This is an exclusive elk hunt in New Mexico's prestigious elk hunt unit 4.  These ranch only tags are hard to come by.  Canadian River Outfitters will be offering only 2 - 4 tags in this unit for the 2014 New Mexico elk hunting season.

The mountain views and wildlife are breathtaking. To make this hunt successful, be prepared for hiking in high altitude, cold conditions. While Canadian River Outfitters will do everything we can to make this all-inclusive hunt a success, you must come prepared for the conditions.

New Mexico Wild Turkey Hunting

Canadian River Outfitters offers excellent New Mexico turkey hunting for either Merriam or Rio Grande wild turkeys. The Merriam turkeys love to hang out on the property of Canadian River Outfitters. The natural habitat provides the diversity of river country, farm land and natural grass and brush. What’s not to love? Not to mention they have found every deer feeder that we have installed! Canadian River Outfitters can offer Rio Grande turkeys at a different portion of the ranch, in Harding county. Neither location is over hunted, nor will you have to worry about competing with too many hunters during your hunt.

Experienced hunters are welcome to hunt on their own. However, if you prefer a guide we can accommodate you. If you complete your turkey hunting and still have a hunting itch that needs scratched, we can put you on some prairie dogs or coyotes. Of course, there is nothing like hitting a prairie dog town with a few boxes of bullets! Canadian River Outfitters will do our best to make your turkey hunting experience one of your best.
